Esther Dellinger Recent llridc of Lieut McDanielSMiss Esther Dellinger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Dellinger, of Elwood, became the bride of Lieut. Walter McDaniel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Forrest McDaniel, of near Curtisville, Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the post chapel at Harding Field,Baton Rouge, La.*Chaplain Edwin O. Olson read the marriage vows before Jn altar banked with baskets ofwhite gladiolas, green palmsand candelabras. Sgt. Raymond C. Corey, organist, played bridal music and the traditional wedding march and S Sgt. Cecil C. Sutley, soloist, sang “Because.”The bride was attired in a poudre blue street-length dress with black accessories and carried a bridal bouquet of gardenias with pon pon chrysanthemums and baby breath, with white satin streamers.Miss Phillipa Taylor, the bridesmaid of Baton Rouge, wore a black sheer dress with blue eyelet yoke and sleeves. Her accessories were of black and she carried American beauty roses Lieut. Robert Messer-ly, of Ohio, was best man.A bridal party was held at the officers’ club at Harding Field, following the ceremony.Mrs. McDaniel was graduated from the Elwood high school [ in 1942 and is a member of the 1 Elwood Christian church, the Delta Theta and Kiciwwa club.Lieut. McDaniel graduated from the Elwood high school • in 1940 and is a member of the Curtisville Christian church. He will soon be transferred from 1 Harding Field to another field to complete his training as pilot of a P-47 fighter plane.The couple are now residingeat 2315 Spain street, Baton * Rouge, La.Mrs. Forrest McDaniel, ofnear Curtisville and Miss Eu-phrozine Deshotel, of Baton Rouge, attended the wedding.
