FRYARKESSLERMiss Minnie J. Fryar Married ter Mr.Harv ey L. Kessler.Last night at the home of her mother on West College street, Miss Minnie J. iFryar was married to Mr. Harvey L. Kessler, of Greenville.The ceremony was performed at 8 p.m., Rev. G. E. McCammon officiating It was intended that the ceremony be performed on the lawn, but on account of the dampness of the night it was performed in the house.The porch was beautifully decorated with Japanese lanterns and the inside of the house was decorawith palms, lillies and ferns all prettily arranged.The bride was dressed in white silk with chiffon trimmings.Dr.and Mrs.D.B.Parkinson and Prof. and Mrs.S.E.Harwood represented the faculty. Among the out-of-town guests were Morris Fryar, Mrs. Kessler’sbrother from Carterville, and manyothers from Makanda, Thompsonvilleand other points.Mr. Kessler’s parents were unable to attend on account of old age and ill health.The Sunday school class of the M. E. church, of which Mrs. Kessler has been teacher for some time, was present.Mr. and Mrs. Kessler will depart in a few days for their future home at Chatsworth where he was elected superintendent of schools this year.
