Miss Bowron is engaged to Richard A. Shirk Jr.Mr. and Mrs. Kent S. Bowron of Eustis are announc ing the engagement of their daughter, Yvonne Lee, to Richard Andrew Shirk Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard A. Shirk, of Eustis.Miss Bowron is a native of New Brunswick, N.J. She was a 1967 graduate of Eustis High School where she was on the student council. She was elected honorary fire chief in her senior year for the Feb. 22 Celebration. She graduated from Woody’s Hair Styling Institute in Orlando and is now employed at Eustis Plaza Augie’s Enchanted Mirror.Mr. Shirk is a native of Eustis. He also graduated In 1967 from Eustis High School where he was a member of the varsity baseball team and the junior high football team. He is currently employed by Zeller, Kennedy and Hamlin Funeral Home and is a volunteer fireman for the City of Eustis. Mr Shirk expects to attend lake Sumter Junior College in the Fall and will also attend Miami Dade Junior College to study mortuary science.In their senior year at Eustis High School Miss Bowron and Mr Shirk were King and Queen of the Prom.Grandparents of the bride to be are Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Richwine of Atlanta, Ga., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ross F. Bowron of Umatilla». Grand parents of the prospective bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. John Deck of Palmyra, Pa., Mrs. Bertha Shirk of I,ebanon, Pa and the late Casper Shirk.The wedding will be an event of Saturday, Aug 17 at 7:30 p.m. at Umatilla Methodist Church.
