Wed July 6Mr. and Mrs. Terry PhillipsNancy Skog and Terry Phillips of Truro were united in marriage at Our Savior’s Luth eran Church in Albert City onSaturday, July 6, 1968, at 8:00 p.m. Pastor Donald Anderson performed the double-ring ceremony.Organ music was providedby Miss Hilvie Johnson. Sheaccompanied the soloist, MissJo Ellen Baas of Algona, friend of the bride, who sang “Song of Ruth” and “The Wedding Prayer.”The sanctuary was decorated with white gladiolas on the altar and baskets of white gladiolas and yellow daisies on the eandelabras. Yellow and green bows decorated the pews.The bride, escorted by her f^ber. v.^-re a gown of white \ rp rrd crene. The slim skirtcr: whPe crene accented the noire bodice of Alencon•• featuring a lowered neckline r~d long sleeves tapering •/ V'da1 points at the wrists. TV Watteau train of crepe-WcvT-d lece fell from the shoulders. Her tiered veil of illusion was held in place by a headpiece decorated with sequins and pearls. She carried a cascade bouqet of white roses, stephanotis and baby’s-breath.Susan Skog served her sister as maid of honor. Mrs. David Harris of Cedar Falls and Mrs. Norman Kinkade, Ames, cousins of the bride, were bridesmaids. They wore street-length dresses of yellow laceaccented with velvet ribbon and matching shoes and headpieces, and carried bouquetsof yellow and white daisiesand baby’s-breath. Mrs. Carl Mattes of Gowrie was the bride’s personal attendant.Mr. Gary Phillips, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Mr. David Rackey, friend of the groom, and Mr. Gordon Rambow, cousin of the groom, all of Truro. Ushers were Mr. Stuart Johnson, cousin of the bride, Mr. Randy Wenck, friend of the groom, Mr. Dennis Phillips, cousin of the groom, and Mr. Dale Skog, brother of the bride. The latter two also served as candlelighters.The mother of the bride wore a yellow linen dress and the groom’s mother wore a light blue dress. Both wore corsages of Tropicana roses.Hosts and hostesses at the reception which followed in the Fellowship Hall were Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Sankey, uncle and aunt of the groom, and Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Skog and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Dahl-strom, uncles and aunts of the bride. Miss Peggy Skog, cousin of the bride, was at the guest book table.Punch was dipped by Mrs. Ted McDonald of Truro and Mrs. Chester Peterson of Minneapolis, aunts of the groom and bride. Mrs. Robert Phillips of Truro, aunt of thegroom, and Mrs. Don Johnson, Albert City, aunt of the bride, poured coffee. The wedding cake was cut and served by Mrs. William Johnson of Albert City, the bride’s aunt, and Mrs, Louis McDonald, the groom’s aunt, of Truro.Waitresses were Cathy Roberts, Joanne Lange, Carol Ho-grefe, Carol Lundberg and Janice Smith.Gifts were opened and displayed by Judy Jorgenson of Fort Dodge, Jan Klassen of Pomeroy, Mrs. Judy Thoien, Mrs. Ivan Archer, Judi Ehlers and Kathy Rebhuhn of Des Moines.For going away the bride wore a blue lace dress. Her corsage was of white roses.The couple live in Truro. The bride is employed at the hospital in Osceola and the groom at Pittsburgh Steel in Des Moines.*it1Ilt;
