Miss Ditzig and John Spragginssay vows in candlelight ceremonyMiss Leslee Denise Ditzig became the bride of John Robert Spraggins in a candlelight ceremony at Holland Chapel Missionary Church on Saturday afternoon, July 19.Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Raymond L. Ditzig of Benton and Mr. and Mrs. H.A. Spraggins of Hope. The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis L. Jenkins of Malvern and Mrs. Mary C. Ditzig of Benton. The bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Guy E. Basye of Hope.Officiating at the ceremony was Stephen Hatfield of Little Rock. Wedding music was provided by Steve Butler of Pine Bluff,vocalist, and Midi Ditzig, brother of the bride, organist. Candlelighters were Laura Buczkowski of Little Rock and Jim Ditzig, brother of the bride. Live ferns decorated thesanctuaryGiven in marriage by her father, die bride wore a gown of white polyester Lutesong fashioned with long sleeves and a lace overlay down the front panel. The gown featured a high collar, a ruffle at the hemline and tied in a sash at the back. The veil of illusion was edged with lace. The gown was fashioned by the mother of the bride The bride carried a bouquet of white orchids and stephanotis. The bridegrown wore a boutonniere of stephanotis.Miss Laura Hensley was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Debbie Russ of Conway and Miss Rebecca Mazander The bridalattendants wore gowns of rainbow pastelsRonnie Gibson of Hope served the bridegroom as best man. Seating the guests were Rex Terry of Tvronza. Ark.; Doug Sutherlin of Camden; Mark Gunter of Hope, and Tim Smith of Morrilton. Groomsmen were Bruce Garrett of Hope and Ken Wasson of Arkadelphia.Following a wedding trip to points of interest in Missouri, the bridegroom will leave for Germany at the end of July to begin his study at a German university in Saarfaruecken, West Germany, wherehe has received a scholarship to study for a year. The bride will follow at the end of September.ReceptionFollowing the ceremony, a reception was held in the fellowship hall of the church. The bridal bouquet and a three-tiered candelabra decorated the bride’s table.
