Brouhard-HumphreysMiss Carol Lee Brouhaxd, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Waller 3rou~ hard, of Hope, and William A. Humphreys. son of Mr. ana Mrs. G. G. Humphreys, 420 South Union, were married July 6 in the First Baptistchurch at Hope. The Rev. J. w, Pingon, pastor of the church, performed the double-ring' ceremony. Richard Bowline sang, accompanied by Miss Laurel Plank, of Hope. Cut flowers set between candelabra^ decorated the church._ The bride, who was given In marriage by her father, wore white ballerina length taffeta, dress with flowered net overskirt and a taffeta bolero with, long pointed sleeves. Her fingertip length veil was held in place with an orange blossom headband. Her only jewelry was her mother's locket. She carried a white Bible topped with Amerl-can Beauty roses with white rib-ibon streamers.! Mrs. William McCoonse, of Topeka, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor. She wore a ballerina length dress of yellow organdy and both her bouquet and tiara were of blue daisies.Eitner Humphreys, brother of the bridegroom, was best man and the ushers were Kenneth Humphreys, brother of the bridegroom, and Raymond Brouhaxd, of Hone, brother of the bride. Mrs. Ben Riffel, of Hope, and Mrs. Dean. Frobenius, of Paterson. N. Y.. were candlelighters. The ring bearer was Dean Hylton, nephew of the bridegrom, and the flower girl was Linda Riffei, of Sa-iina, a niece of the bride.'A reception was held in the church basement. Mrs. Arthur Hylton and Mrs. Albert Dicks served at the table, which was decorated with a 3-tier wedding cake and white tapers. Hostesses were Mrs. Russell Smith, of Americus, sister of the bridegroom, ana Mr s. OrvalBeckei; sister of the bride. Mrs. Elsie Jacobs, sister of the bridegroom, was in charge of the guest book. Women of the Baptist church served the refreshments.For the wedding trip the bride wore an aqua taffeta dress with a rose._corsage. After a short trip to Wichita and Topeka, the couple is at home at 1011 Mechanic.The bride was graduated from Hope high school this spring. The bridegroom was graduated from Admire high school in 1948 and is j employed bv the Blacktop Construction ccrnpanv.
