Doris Strawn Wed June 28Vases and baskets of roses, carnations and baby’s breath banked the altar of the -Trinity Lutheran Church in Bedford June 28 for the candlelight wedding of Miss Doris Jean Strawn and Mr. Kevin Lee Claycomb, both of Bedford.The Rev. Charles Stetler performed the 7 p.m. service. Wedding music was provided by organist Mrs. Nancy Saxman and vocalists Mrs, Regene Hengst, Mrs. Connie Claycomb and Mrs. Aldene Kauffman, who sang Colour My World” and Please Love Me Forever.”The bride is the daughter of Mr; and Mrs. Maurice R. Strawn. Crestview Avenue, Bedford. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Chester B, Claycomb of Mounted Route, Bedford.The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white satin empire style gown with the bodice and fitted sleeves trimmed in lace roses. The attached chapel-, length train was also trimmed with lace roses. The shoulder-length veil was styled with the same lace, attached to a Juliet cap. She carried a cascade bouquet of yellow rose buds, blue carnations, baby's breath and greens, chosen by the bridegroom.Miss Diane Wayne of Wernersville was maid of honor. She wore a full-length yellow rose print gown featuring an empire waistline, trimmed in bows.Bridesmaids were Sandy Kimmel of Berlin RD 1, and Miss Jan Wolfe of Bedford Rt. 4. They wore full-length blue rose print gowns trimmed in bows, and wore picture hats. Each carried a single rose tinted to match her gown.The flower girl, Miss Pamela Griffith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Griffith, wore a gown made by Cindy Thomas, styled to match theEngagedMR. AND MRS. KEVIN CLAYCOMBone worn by the maid of honor. She wore yellow hair ribbons and carried a white basket of yellow rose petals and blue pom pom carnations.The bridegroom’s best man was Mr. Richard Wadsworth. Ushers were Mr. Robert Strawn, brother of the bride, and Mr. Kerry Claycomb, brother of the bridegroom.. The ringbearer, Gary Zembower, wore a suit fashioned by his mother, Mrs. James Zembower.Acolyte for the ceremony was John J, Kimmel.For her daughter’s wedding, the mother of the bride wore a full-length, mint green gown with diagonal line bodice. White accessories, with a corsage of mint-tinted roses completed her ensemble.Hie bridegroom’s mother wore a full-length pastel blue gown. She chose white accessories and a corsage of blue-tinted roses.The reception following the ceremony was held at the Bedford Elks Country Club. La Donna Snyder attended the guest book.The couple left afterward for their wedding trip' to1 Williamsburg, Virginia.photo by R. He is employed as field representative for Woodmen of the World.The couple will reside at 120 North Richard Street, Bedford.
