Jan Hall van Loon Married; To Miss Virginia ( Ia t hen 11The First Congregational Church of Redding was the setting on July 14 for the marriage of Miss Virginia Mignonette Clarke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George William Clarke of Redding, to Jan Hall van Loon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bowditch van Loon of Drum Hill Road in Wilton.The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a princess style gown of white silk organza over satin made with afront panel of rosepoint lace trimmed with seed pearls. Her tulle veile was secured to a satin headband and her bridal bouquet was of phalaenopsis and stephanotisMrs. Richard Henney Harris of Westpoint, Mass. was matron of honor for her sisterand other bridal attendants were Miss Judith Brown of Fairfield and Mrs. Donald Lindstrom of Wilton.Philip Wightman of Vergen-nes, Vt. was best man. The ushers were Hendrik Willem and Dirk van Loon, brothers of the bridegroom.Mrs. van Loon graduated from Colby Junior College and West Virginia Wesleyan College ana teaches in the Brewster, N.Y. school system. Her grandparents are the late Sydney Thomas Clarke and Mrs. Georgianna Clarke of Barbados, BWI and Amityville, L.I. and the late William Andrew St. Claire and Mrs. Mignotte St. Claire of Freeport, L I.The bridegroom is the grandson of the late Hendrik Willem van Loon, author and artist, and the late Mrs. Eliza Bowditch van Loon of Boston and New York, and of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Willet Hall of New York and Great Neck, L.I.
