C. P. Breckenrldge and Miss Pollard, of Lexington, was evidently a mistake, os Col. Breoken-rldge and Mrs. Louise Scott Wing were quietly married Tuesday evening at the residence of the bride’s brother, Dr. Preston B. Soott, in Louisville, The bride is the widowof the late Hon. E. Rumsey Wing,who was ’minister to Ecuador at the time of his death, and is a daughter of the late Col. Robt- W. Scott, of this county. She has a large circle of friends here who wiBh her the highest happiness attendant upon such joyous occurrences in life.Church-Hoover — Mr. Win. E. Church, of Peak’s Mill, and MissMollie Hoove#, of Switzer, weremarried Wednesday afternoon at 6:30 o'clock at the North Fork BaptistChurch.Jones-Breedek — Late Tuesday evening a couple came to the city In a buggy and hastened to the office of County Clerk Smith and asked fora marriage license. They were both quite young and the lady, who was very pretty, appeared to be not over eighteen years of age. Clerk Smith, suspecting that it was an elopement, refused to issue the license, but theirearnest appeals and vowa that they had the parental consent softened him and he was persuaded to grant It upon the condition that they have a witness present and do some tall swearing as to their age and the permission of the bride's parents. They gave their names as Win. M. Jones and Carrie B. Breeden and said theywere from Monterey and intended tobe married by the Rev. Mr. Whitney at the residence of Mr. Geo. McDaniel, on the Owenton turnpike, about five miles from the city.
