Kyle Smith performed the formal double ring candlelight ceremony before an alter decorated with floral arrangements of pink and burgundy gladiolas.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Presley. She is a 1982graduate of Pittsburg High School, and is employed at the Pittsburg National Bank.vShe is the granddaughter of Mrs. Alice Mabry and Mrs. Alma Presley of Clarksville.The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Robert Smith, is a graduate of Kilgore Junior College and is employed as a machinest at Lone Star Steel Company. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Rutledge andMr. Buster Smith all of Pittsburg.The bride, given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, chose a floor length keepsake white wedding gown with matching floor length veil. She carried a bridal bouquet of white, pink, and burgundy carnations. On her way to the alter, she paused at her mother’s side and presented her with a burgundy rose.Matron of Honor was Mrs. Gary Dobbs, sister of the bridegroom. Bridesmaids were Miss Jennifer Presley, sister of the bride, and Miss Mary Smith, sister of the groom.Flower girls were Misha Allen of Allen, Tx., and Mandy Mabry of Clarksville, both cousins of the bride.Ring bearer was Kevin Copeland, cousin of the groom.Bridal attendants were attired in matching floor length pink nylon dotted swiss and each carried a bouquet of burgundy roses.The flower girl’s dresses were identical to the bridal attendants. To compliment and accent her dress, each wore a pink rose with pink ribbon in her hair.Serving the groom as best man was John Robert Smith, father of the groom. The three tiered wedding cake was served at the bride’s table by Rhonda Sewell and Debbie Anders. The table was covered with a white lace tablecloth accented with acenterpiece of pink and burgundy carnations. Serving German chocolate cake and coffee at the groom s table were Toni Shaddix and Jana Duncan. The table was laid with pink and burgundy cloth with candle and carnation centerpiece.For traveling the bride chose a white linen suit with red accessories. The couple will make their home in Pittsburg following a wedding trip to Hot Springs.Rehearsal EventThe wedding party of John Mark Smith and Susan Elaine Presley was honored Fnday evening, June 4 with dinner in the garden of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Rutledge, grandparents of the groom. The groom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Robert Smith were hosts for the event. Tables were laid in pink with silk flower arrangements on each table. The garden was filled with large hanging baskets of begonias carrying out the bride’s chosen colors of pink and burgundy.Those attending the wedding from this area were Mrs. Alma Presley, Mr and Mrs. Johnny King, Mrs. Alice Mabry, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Mabry, Mrs. Velma Hulen, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Buster, Shane and Amy, Mrs. Frances Littrell, Mr. and Mrs. James Butler and Donna, Mr. and Mrs. William Mabry and Mandy.
