Arnold Berlau of Waterloo, were married at 7:00 p.m., lune 23, at St. John's Lutheran Church in a candlelight ceremony. The double-ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Daniel Koenig of Adair before an altar decorated with white gladlola, yellow pompons, a three-point candelabra, aixJ white hurricane candles with yellow bows.Mrs. Gene Maas played thenuptial muric, The Theme from Love oU-ry.* and accompanied Diane Inter mill as she sang *The Lord’s Prayer as the couple knelt at the altar, and Color My World and -One Hand, Ore Heart. *The bride, given In marriage by her parents, and escorted by her father, wore a floo. -length white gown of polyester silk crepe with Chantilly lace trim and seed pearls.The empire waist was accented with two bows and lace.The long sleeves came to a point at the wrists and were fastened with tiny covered buttons. Bridesmaids were Cindy Norris, Betty Emmons, and J cannle Phillips. They were attired in yellow printed dimity with tiny pink and blue flowers, puffed, sleeves, scooped neckline, ruffles at the bottom, and matching head scarves. Each carried a long-stemmed mum with yellow ribbon streamers and bows. Amy Jo Warner and Karen Warner, nieces of the bride, were flowcrgirl and rlngbcarcr.Dan Berlau, brother of the groom, was best nun. Groomsmen were Dick Sherman, brother of the bride,Dick Phillips, and Roland Warner, brother-in-law of tire bride. Ushers were Dave Richter and Bob Norris, who al»lt; lighted the candles. The men of the wedding party wore brown tuxedoes and yellow ruffled shirts and yellow Upped carnations. The groom wore a brown tuxedo, white ruifled shirt and white carnaUon boutonnieres.The church was decorated with yellow satin bows on the pews.The bride’s mother wore a long gown of aqua fouble knit, stort sleeves and jeweled neckline with white accessories.The gloom’s mother wore a long gown of pink and white checked gingham, sleeveless, with lace bands on yoke and around the bottom, with white accessories. Each mother wore a corsage of yellow carnations and yellow sweetheart roses.A reception was held in the social rooms of the church with Mr. and Mrs. Glen Gustafson as hosts. The serving table was centered with a three-tiered cake, topped with a miniature bride and groom, a gold cross, cherubs, and tiny silver bells. Tire cake was flanked by crystal candlctold-crs with yellow candles. The cake was cut by Mary Faga and served by Linda Daut. Betty Sue Crane poured coffee and Gayle Conrad dipped punch.Linda Dyson was in charge of the guest book. In charge of gifts were Jill Arteibuin and Peggy Fox, cousins of the bride. The groom is a graduate of Waterloo High School.For going away the bride wore a lavendar and white knit dress with white accessories and a corsage of yellow carnations and yellow- sweetheart roses.
