Smith, was united in marriage to George A. Hayes, of Draper, S. D. at 5:30 o’clock this morning in the Holy Family Catholic church, Rev. M. J. Harte presiding. The ceremony was performed in the presence of immediate relatives and friends.The bridal couple marched to the altar to the strains of Mendelssohn’s wedding march, played by Miss Mae McBride, a niece of the bridegroom“O Promise Me” was sung by William Hyta.The chiych was handsomely decorated with ferns and cut flowers. Attending the bridal pair were Miss Louise Smith, a sister of the bride, and Frank Hayes, a nephew of the bridegroom.The bride wore a handsome gown of embroidered silk net over cream chiffon. She carried a shower bouquet of sweet peas ami lilies of the valley. Her bridesmaid was gowned in pink chiffon and carried a bouquet of pink sweet peas and roses.The bride is a graduate of both Mitchell high school and the normal department of Dakota Wesleyan. She has been teaching at Chamberlain and in the Mitchell public schools. The bridegroom is vice-president of the Draper State bank.The bridal couple took the morning passenger to Minneapolis, where they will spend a months honeymoon in the Twin Cities and at Lake Minnetonka.
