WEDDING BELLS-The residence of John E. Hayuer, Esq., was the scene, Tuesday evening, or a select gathering to witness the marriage of the daughter of the host, Miss Florence E., to Dr. Wm. A. Haskell. The affair was rery quiet and informal, only the families and relatives of the bride and groom bemg present. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Dr. Armstrong. The marriage service took place about seven o’clock. The bride was dressed In traveling costume. At tfeo close of the ceremony a choice collation was served, after which the bridal pair took their departure for Colorado- The wedding will be recalled by those who attended it as one of the pleasantest gatherings of the kind that ever took place in Alton. The bridal presents from appreciative friends were elegant and beautiful.The high sooial position of the parties had caused this occasion to be looked forward to with great interest in Alton, and the kind wishes of a host of friends will follow the Doctor and his bride on their journey. May the guod fortune which has brought about this auspicious union of hearts and of l»ves continue to bless them with unbroken happiness throughout all their future years.
