Former Teacher MarriesA former Galva teacher now of £armington, Miss Paula M. Sprowls, and Stephen A. Mooney of Woodridge exchanged wedding vows on Saturday, July 6, at 7 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church of Farmington.Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. John E. Sprowls of Farmington and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph H. Mooney of Kewanee.Rev. Roane Deckert, pastor of the church, read the double ring ceremony.The bride, given in marriage by her father, selected a gown of white organza. Styled with a tucked fitted bodice, bishop sleeves and a high neckline, the gown was trimmed with venise lace. A deep ruffle accented the hem of the A-line skirt which continued into a full length chapel train.Her chapel length veil was held in place by a headpiece of venise lace. A bridal cascade bouquet of yellow roses, stephanotis, miniature carnations and ivory complemented her wedding ensemble.Miss Suzanne Reid of Wheeling served the bride as maid of honor for the ceremony and bridesmaids were Miss Sharon Jenkins of Charleston and Mrs. Judy Baamonde of Peoria.The attendants were attired in dresses of nile green dotted swiss. Styled with a fitted bodice, long full sleeves, and a raised waistline, the dresses were accented with a self sash anlt;J white collar and cuffs. White picture hats accented with nile green ribbon and baskets of daisies completed their attire.Jack Armstrong of Newalla, Okla., served the groom as best man and groomsmen were Dick Reams and Joe Baamonde of Peoria. Ushers were Pat Strom,Bob Strom and Mark Agnoletti The church was decorated with vases of white and yellow gladiolas and twin candelabras for the service.Miss Kristin Vandeveer served as organist for the ceremony and accompanied soloist William Vandeveer who sang “Can’t Help Falling In Love With You” and “Before Thine After”Following the ceremony a reception was held in the church halls. She has been employed as a first grade teacher in the Galva school system for the past three yearsMooney, a graduate of Wethersfield High School and the University of Illinois, received his MA degree in business administration from Bradley University in Peoria and is presently employed as a marketing representative for Olin Chemical CompanyEngagedMr. and Mrs. Leland P. Johnson announce the engagement and coming marriage of their daughter, Lee Ann, to Gerald Casey of Waukesha, Wfc., son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Casey of Rock Island.Miss Johnson is a graduate of Galva High School and Stout State University in Wisconsin with a bachelors degree in home economics education. She is currently coordinator of cooperative education in home economics at Maine Township High School East in Park Ridge and is working on her masters at the University of Illinois in home economicsCasey, a graduate of Rock Island High School and the University of Iowa with a degree in accounting and business administration, served two years in the U.S. Army as a lieutenant at Ft.
