Caughran-Ritchey Marriage Has Church BackgroundMiss Catherine Caughran and Lee Wayne Ritchey exchanged wedding vows at Ukiah First Baptist Church on Friday, July 13, at 8 at a double ring ceremony for which Rev. Frank McCray, church pastor, officiated. hArrangements of fern and white gladioli grown by the bridegroom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rascoe A. Ritchey, were on the altar. The candles were lighted by tffe brfcte-groom’s brother Lloyd Ritchey.The bride, daughter of Mr. aix Mrs. Gilbert W. Caughran Of Lahore, West Pakistan, was given in marriage by her father. She won? a beautiful fioor-length peau de soie dress with lace and seed pearl trimming at the neckline and at the fingertip pointed sleeves. The bustle at die back and the train were accented by a peau de soie rose. She carried a bouqueit of white carnations centered with a white orchid. Her illusion veil was1 centered by a rhinestone tiara.For “something old’' and “borrowed,” the bride wore a broach of two hearts intertwined which was a wedding gift to her grandmother Mrs. Robert Baxter of Longview, Wash, from her husband at the time of their marriage.The maid of honor was the bride's eteter Miss Nancy Caughran who was gowned in pale blue taffeta dress with the bodice of matching lace. Her headdress was a spray of white flowers covered with pale Wue veiling. She earned a nosegay of white carnations.The bridesmaids were tile bridegroom’s sisters Mrs. Clifford Creek-more of Ukiah and Mrs. Cliff Gtrod of Salem Ore. They wore dresses similar to that of the maid qf honor and also carried nosegays 0# white carnations.Don Ritchey of Eureka brother Of the bridegroom was best man and ushers were Roscoe Ritchey and Lloyd Ritchey brothers of the bridegroom and James Caughran ^brother of die bride.§B The maid of honor and brides-wore pearl earrings broughtfrom Hong Kong by the bride.The bride’s mother was gowned in Copenhagen blue with white accessories and Mrs. Robert Baxter, the bride’s grandmother, wore a lavender printed dress. The bride-gpxxam’s mother was also dressed in blue. All three wore white carnation corsages.Mrs. John Ashford was organist. Vocal selections “I Love You Truly” and “The Lord'® -Prayer” were given ifcy Carolyn (Mirs. Paul) Ldtty.After the ceremony a reception was held in the church parlors. Helping out were the women of Dorothy Wiseman Circle of the church. The refreshment table was centered with e beautiful three-tiered cake. The doth on the table was of chikkan work, handmade in India, and was a gift from the bride’s sister.Susan Smith of Forest Grove, Ore. cousin of the bride, served the punch assisted by Mrs. George Anthony of San Francisco. Presiding over the cake cutting were Mrs. Walter Hofmann and Mrs. David Anderson of Palo Aito.The bride’s going away outfit was a royal blue knit suit with beige accessories and an orchid corsage.The new Mr. and Mrs. Lee litchey will make their home in Sacramento after a short honeymoon.The bride was graduated from Woodstock High School in Musso-orie, India, and has attended schools in Switzerland and Washington State University at Pullman, Wash. The bridegroom was graduated from Ukiah -high school, attended the University of California at Berkeley and is now in the United States Air Force.On Thursday evening after the wedding rehearsal, a barbecue was served by the parents of the bride and bridegroom at the Ritchey home. At that time Catherine presented gifts to her attendants. Present were members of the wedding party and the Rev. and Mrs. Frank McCray.
