Gilleran Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. William M. Gilleran of 4043 Harrison in St. Mel church at 10:30, on June 7. Father James F. Lynch officiated after Walter Geary had sung “Ave Maria” and “Wonderful Mother.”The bride chose a gown of white marquisette trimmed in lace with a long net veil which fell from a matching halo. She carried orchids and stephanotis as she was escorted by her father to the altar.Fannie Vanora. sister of the bride, as maid of honor, was in yellow mousseline de soie and carried a bouquet of orchids and roses. Bridesmaids were Misses Lillian Hagen, Jewel Riley, Frances Perri and junior bridesmaid was Winifred Gilleran. The girls were dressed in rainbow mousse-dine de soie and carried roses and sweet peas.John Gilleran, brother of the groom, was best man. and ushers were James Tully, Walter Williams and Frank Iovinelli.A wedding breakfast for forty took place at the Midwest and a reception for six hundred followed that night at the same place. The bride and groom left for a wedding trip to Turkey Run and are now at home at 4447 Gladys.The bride attended Our Lady of Sorrows and Manley High school while the groom went to Presentation and St. Mel’s. A shower was given by the bride's sister and the groom’s sister, Mrs. H. Bonneville.At present the bride is in partnership with her sister in the beauty salon at 219 S.
