Lunner. The event took place at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter W. Lavely.The single ring ceremony was performed by Rev. C. F. Hanley, the grandfather of the bride. Rev. Hanley also performed the ceremony when the bride’s parents were married. The bride was given away by her father and the young people wereattended by a sister of the bride, Grace Lavely, and Paul Lehnen. Mrs. Austin Turner played the wedding march and also accompanied Irene Lavely and Rowena Hawley, who sang a duet arrangement of ‘‘Oh, Promise Me/'*and “At Dawning.The bridal pair stood before the altar of white lattice trellised with vines and daisies, with banks of ferns and daisies on each side. The bride was attractively gowned in a combination of ivory satin and Spanish lace. ^She wore a bridal veil of silk tulle held in place by a band of orange- blossoms and buds and carried a shower bouquet* of Ophelia roses.The presence of six sorority sisters made the wedding quite a Tri Delta affair and these Delta guests made the wedding breakfast, which followed the ceremony, merry with their Delta songs. Covers were laid for twenty-eight and the tables were decorated with tiny centers of artistically arranged pansies.Mrs. Lunner came to Corning when she was only two years old and lived here until her marriage. She graduated from the Corning high school in 1919, and two years later from Ward—Belmont Junior college for women in Nashville, Tennessee. She entered the University of Nebraska as a junior and finished the Liberal Arts course in 1923. It was here she was affiliated with the Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She was prominent at both schools in all college activities Last year she taught French and and math€fhaties in the Corning high, school and was elected for another year.Robert E.Xunner is a son of Mr. and Mrs E. Lunner, of Stromsburg, Nobraska. During the war he was connected with the U, S. marines located at Santo Domingo. He graduated from the University of Nebraska this spring, finishing the law course. He is identified with the Kappa Sigma and the Phi Delta Phi fraternities.Out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. E. Lunner and two daughters, Evelyn and Lola, and Rev. and Mrs. C. F. Hanley, grandparents of the bride, who live at Shenandoah. Out-of-town Tri Delta guests who were present were Mrs. Fern Gustin and Miss Gertrude Brodwell, both of Omaha; Mrs. Helen Lamphere, Mrs. Helen Cobel and Mrs. Agnes Loomis, all of Lincoln. Miss Lavely is also a Tri Delta.After August 15th, the young people will be at home in York, Nebr,, where Mr. Lunner will be connected with an established law firm. In the meantime they expect to enjoy an auto trip covering different points, including a visit with Mr. Lunner's family in Stromsburg. They take with them the kindest wishes of many!friends in Corning. Mrs. Lunner is a member of the Federated church, the Eastern Star order and tne Culture club, and has proven a helpful member who will be missed greatly in each organizatlpn Both are qualified to make an enviable place for themselves in the community info which they will go and without doubt will be welcomed in many circles in their new home while being missed in the places left vacant.—Adams County (la.)
