Married in California.A letter from Miss Nellie Kendall, mailed at Santo Paulo, Cal., bears the information that she was recently united in marriage at that place to William Bercaw.Miss Kendall left this city with the excursion parties to cross the continent where all arrangements for her marriage to Mr. Bercaw had been planned. She arrived at Santo Paulo July 3rd, where she was met by her intended and they celebrated the Fourth by entering the state matrimony. Rev. McMills, of the M. E. church performed the ceremony at 8 p. m.Miss Kendall has been a teacher in the public schools for the past two years, and in that position she made an excellent record for herself. She is an attractive young lady, gifted with a sweet disposition and pleas-ent ways, which won for her a large circle of friends.The groom is a rising young business man who is engaged in fruit growing, and has before him a bright future.
