Mrs. Martin Harmon, Jr. Is Bridge Club HostessMembers of the Contract dubwere charmingly ^entertainedTuesday afternoon when Mrs.Martin ilarmon was hostess at her home on West Mountain street. ■The focal point of decoration was an exquisite arrangement of gladioli on the mantle. Two tables were set up in the living room when guests arrived, they wereserved ice cokes. ' |Four progressions of bridge were played during the remainder of the evening and when scores were compared, it was revealed high score was held by Mrs, Tolly Shuford with Mrs. Claude Harn-bright runner up for second high.At the close of the progressions a salad course was served with ice tea. IOther than club members, the party group included Mrs. J, C. Bridges and Mrs. Joe Hedden,Miss Emogene Goins Bride Of William R. BrownMiss Emogene Goins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Boyce Goins andn, so** of Mrs. Nellie Brown of York, S. C., were united in marriage Saturday, July 4th at York, S. C. with Probate Judge Miss Margaret Nunn performing the double ring ceremony. • * „For her wedding Miss Goins chose a dress of baby blue with white accessories and a corsage of white carnations.Accompanying the young couple to York were Mrs. Boyce Goins, mother of the bride, Miss Coleen Brooks, Frank Hudson, Oscar Short and Joe Brown, brother of the bridegroom,Mrs. Brown is a graduate ofthe Kings Mountain High School. Mr. Brown is a veteran of threeyears in the Army with 1-S months spent overseas. He is now employed with Dupont Companyin Aiken, S.
