Mrs. Martin Harmon. Jr. Is Bridge Club HostessMembers of the Contract club were eh a rm i ugly en ter ta i net 1Tuesday afternoon when Mrs. Martin Harmon was hostess at her home on West Mountain street. .The focal point of decorationwas an exquisite arrangement ofgladioli on the mantle. Two tables were set up in the living room when guests arrived, they were served Ice cokes, 7 ,Four progressions of bridge were played during the remainder of the evening and when scores were compared, it was revealedhigh score was held by Mrs. Tolly Shuford with Mrs. Claude Ham-bright runner up for second high.At the close of the progressions a salad course was served with ice tea.Other than club members, the party group included Mrs. J, C.1 Bridges and Mrs. Joe Hedden.Miss Emogene Goins Bride Of William R. BrownMiss Emogene Goins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Boyce Goins and William R. Brown, so.* of Mrs. Nellie Brown of York, S. (\, wereunited in marriage Saturday, July4th at York, S. C. with Probate Judge Miss Margaret Nunn performing the double ring ceremony, * • „For her wedding Miss Goins chose a dress of baby blue with while accessories and a corsageof white carnations.Accompanying the young couple to York were Mrs. Boyce Goins, mother of the bride, Miss Coleen Brooks, Frank Hudson, Oscar Short and Joe Brown, brother of the bridegroom.Mrs, Brown is a graduate ofthe Kings Mountain High School Mr. Brown is a veteran of thm years in the Army with m*mths spent overseas. He is nuv employed with Dupont Gonrpam in Aiken, S. C,Upon their return from a wedding trip Mr. and Mrs Rrowr will tie at home at 36 KnhbirStreet, Aiken, S. C.
