5. —--—-- Joyce Rawlinson Exchanges Vows With Leroy E. LittleMiss Joyce Ray Rawlinson ierday became the bride of Leroy Eugene Little in a double ring 3 ceremony performed by Rev. Mil-ton Ford in Faith Temple.J* The bride Is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Rawlinson, 22 *• Ferguson, and Little is the son of ' Mrs. A Hie Little. 704 East Peggy, and the late Mr. Little./ Miss Rawlinson was escorted to e the altar by her father. She wore a white Chantilly lace dress with J scalloped neck insert of tulle. She ' carried a white Bible with a white orchid and shower of French car-^ nations.t Serving as matron of honor was 3 Mrs. Beauford Bernes, sister of e the bride, of Houston. Bridesmaids were Misses Mildred Jean 5 Little, sister of the bridegroom. Joyce Ferra. and Joyce Barnes. Each was dressed in a blue ball-erina-length dress of organdy over satin with a Peter Pan collar. Blue scalloped hats Complet-1 ed their costumes. They carried J bouquets of Marconi daisies, t • Best man was Elmer Schrock.brother-in-law of the bridegroom, r Other ushers were Coy West, -Jerry Torkelson and NathanEdgar Welsh.7 Flower girl was Miss Patsy ' Bass, who was attired in a white organdy dress with a hooped skirt over white satin.Baskets of. white gladioli and marconi daisies were placed in the church.Mrs. Milton FordT organist. pla3*ed the wedding marches. Miss Eloise Baxter and Miss Mary j Glyn Cornelius formed a duet to present vocal selections.A reception was held at the j Little home on East Peggy’. Schrock, sister of the bridegroom.Zinnias, marigolds and roses were placed about the reception room.For her going away costume, the bride wore a navy blue faille suit and an orchid,The bride, a graduate of Cushing High School and a Houston business college, now works at Western Electric in Houston.Little is a Robert E. Lee graduate and is a junior student at A and M College where he is majoring ih electrical engineering. He works for Continenal Canning •Company in Houston,The couple are to be at home at 6008 Sherman in Houston until September J. Then they will be at home at College Station.Mrs. Birdwell, 85, Feted On BirthdayMrs. Ekiora Birdwell1 oi K’acog-doches was honored on her. S5th birthday yesterday afternoon with, a party on the lawn of .the W. F. Muller home, 1401 North Pruett.Mrs. Birdwell is ‘the grandmother of Mr. Muller. Mr. Muller's mother was unable to be present so all five generations of- the family were not represented. Mrs. Birdwell has four great greatgrandhcildren. 4Birthday cake and sherbet were served to 37 relatives.WEST TEXAS VACATIONMr. and Mrs. W. 33. Black Jr. and their children.
