Father Officiates At RiteThe bridegroom's fathercame from North Little Rock,Arkansas, to perform thelovely afternoon ceremony Inwhich his son claimed MissMarilyn Louise McQueen of Fremont as his bride.Miss McQueen and Elmer Reg Madison, son of Uw Rev, and Mrs. Elmer Madison, exchanged wedding vows during a double ring ritual at 2:30 o’clock in the First Southern Baptist Church of Newark.The church was decorated with baskets of gtadioli and stock as the bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hay McQueen of Judie Way in Fremont, was given away by her father.FOR HER special day, the bride selected a floor-Iength gown of white peau de sole and organdy done in an A-line with a scalloped neck-line andJudicia■oqrama local newspaper, who will talk ab:ut her work.long full sleeves cuffed at the wrists. A duster of flowers secured her elbow-length veiling, and she carried a bouquet of white carnations and ~ baby pink roses.As an added touch, the bride also held the lace-cov-cred Bible which her sister had carried on her wedding day.MRS. RICHARD BYRD ofFremont, her sister, attended the bride as matron of honor wearing a toe-length frock of pink chiffon and crepe, done in an A-line with long sheer sleeves. Matching flowers and veil served as her head(piece, and she carried white carnations and pink roses.Similarly attired, only In yellow and carrying yellow roses, were the maid of honor, Miss Cheryl Heihn of Fremont, and a bridesmaid, Miss Susan Haskins of Newark. The other bridesmaid. Miss Linda Hayter of Newark, was in pink like the matron of honor.THE BRIDEGROOM asked his brother, Bruce Madison of North Little Rock, Arkansas, to stand up for h i m as best man, and ushers were Richard Byrd of Fremont, the bride's brother * in * law; Ron Rich of Newark, and Manuel Swindell of Hayward.Also In the wedding party were little Tammy Flores of Hayward, 5, in a miniature of the maid of honor’s frock and holding yellow roses as flower girl; and David Walker of Newark as ringbearer.After the nuptials, the just* weds greeted guests at a reception in the church’s Fellowship Hall, and they are now living in the Bay Area.A INI ALUMNA of Washington High School, the bride was graduated from Famous Beauty School in Fremont last year, and she is now with Pacific Telephone in Hayward. She Is affiliated with Rainbow Girls Assembly,No. 152 in Fremont.The bridegroom was graduated from Sylvan Hills High School in 1965, and he attended the State College of Arkansas before enlisting In the United States Navy, with whom he served four years before his honorable discharge in April, A member of Phi Lambda Chi fraternity, he plans to continue his education at an area college.
