Miss Schmidt, Wright WedMareda Mae Schmidt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar J Schmidt, Twin Falls, was married to Cecil L. Wright, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Wright, jr, Jerome, in a candlelight service June 8 at the Twin Falls First Methodist Church.The double ring ceremony was performed by Dr. Harold Nye of the Twin Falls Methodist Church, assisted by Rev. Robert Cooper of the Jerome Baptist Church. The altar was centered with a brass candle arch and flanked by four brass candela bra, each decorated with yellow gladioli, chrysanthemums and bows, and by cathedral baskets of yellow chrysanthemums andgladioli. CandleUghters wereJeri Ann Metzger, Idaho Falls, and Monte Webb,The bride was given in mar-raige by her father, who escorted her down the aisle that was decorated with yellow satin hows. She wore a Bridal Original lace gown with an ovalneckline outlined with pearlsand lily point sleeves. Scallops extended from the front of the neckline to the hem of the Chan-tillv lace cage-style gown.The back swept to a watteau train from a looped bow. Pearls were woven into a Jut,et £aP with lace flowers which held her elbow-lcngth veil. The bride wore a necklace given her by the bridegroom and earned a bouquet of yellow sweetheart roses and stephanotis on a white Bible which her mother carnelt; at her weddnig.t She also carried a lace-trim med linen handkerchief which the bridegroom's grandmother, Mrs. C. L. Russell, Jerome, and his mother carried at their wed-^Kathie Helfrecht served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Arrietha Wright, Jerome, sister of the bridegroom; Katy Ricks, and Judy Bucha ni a n. Amalea Wright, s i s t e r of the bridegroom, was junior bridesmaid. Collette Leavitt, Idaho Falls, was flower girl and Clayton Walker, Hansen, was ring-bearer.Serving as best man was Leon Pielstick, Salem, Ore. G e r a 1 d Webster, cousin of the b r 1 d e-groom; Pat Williams, Jerome, and Robert Hopper, Jerome, were Groomsmen. V e r_l o n Wright, brother of the b r i d e-groom, was junior groomsman. Ushers were Allen Webster, Filer,. and Emery Webster, cousins of the bridegroom; Jim Patton, and Mike Hartruff.Robert Thompson played the organ prelude and wedding music and accompanied Mrs. Terry Sullivan, soloist A reception was held after the ceremony in the Fellowship Hall of the church, with Mrs. L. .A. Widrig and members of t h e Woman’s Society of Christian Service in charge. Mrs. LeRay Mothershead played background music.The bridal couple greeted guests in front of a white arch enhanced with smilax and flanked by baskets of yellow gladioli and chrysanthemums. T he bride’s table was covered with a satin cloth accented with organdy flounces which were draped with smilax, yellow chrysanthemums and yellow satin bows.The four-tiered cake, decorated with yellow roses and white sugar bells, was topped with three satin bells set in a heart-shaped frame made of lace and pearls. Mrs. Dba Allen baked and decorated the cake which was cut and served by Mrs. Mabel Buxton and Mrs. Carl Grabert. Mrs. Ira Hoff m a n, Hailey, and Mrs. Boyd Brown served coffee and punch.Mrs. Arlyn Taberer registered guests. Giftbearers were Ronnie Benzinger and Kevin Shropshire, both Jerome; Vaughn Edwards, and Lorwin McNeil. Gifts were displayed by Lael Mothershead, Sandra O’dell and Mrs. Mike Hartruff.Pre’nuptial showers were hosted by Mrs. Kenneth Nesbitt; a miscellaneous shower by Mrs. Dale Webster, Mrs. Jim Webster and Mrs. Gene Walker; a kitchen shower by Mrs. Mabel Buxton, and a lingerie shower-by Kathie Helfrecht and Judy Buchanan.A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the bridegroom’s parents at their home in Jerome.The couple took a wedding trip to Yellowstone National Park and are residing in Twin Falls where both are employed.
