'^KWT'To them a 60th anniyersary seems not at all unusual. They comc from lone-lived lines. Mr. Long-pre. who is 81. has a sister in Montreal who i* now’ 102 years old. Another sister, a nun in a Quebec convent, died last year at the age of 99 years Mrs Longpre. 80. remembersher grandfather celebrating his 108th birthday.Mr. and Mrs, Longpre live at 111 Silver Bow Homes. Although Mrs Longpre seldom leaves her home, she does her own housework and cooking. The couple have lived in Butte for the past 35 years. At the time of his retirement, Mr, Longpre had completed 22 years of continuous employment as a carpenter at the Black Rock mine.• »were blown away in a South Dakota cyclone. *‘We never found a stick, she recalls, still amazed. But the family escaped with only a few bruises and moved on to the quiet and healthy climate of Montana.Mr. and Mrs. Lonepre will be guests Thursday at an anniversary dinner at the Purcell home given in their honor bv their family. July 13. — Mr. andMrs. Glenn Morgan were hosts to Mr. and Mrs. William Marquardt of Havre and John Haberger of Helena over last week end. Mrs. Morgan is a sister of Mrs. Marquardt and Mr. Haberger.way, Mass , when she was a young girl. Mr Longpre was bom in St. Jerome. Canada, one of 21 children. Both were working in a factory at Conwav when thev met in 1884 After two years of courtship they were married there on July 18, 1886, w’hen she was 20 and he was 21.Three daughters were born to Mr and Mrs. Longpre during their residence in Massachusetts. After the first five vears of their marriage thev moved to Canada where they lived for four years and then to South Dakota. In 1911 Mrs. Lons-pre’s health was poor and uponci ri *cl V *vice of a physician they moved t Butte.Today, Mr. and Mrs Longpre family consists of two daughters, six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Death has claimed one of their daughters, the late Mrs. Louise Folden, and one granddaughter, the late Doris Haltlner. Their living descendant are their daughters.
