The marriage of Sharon Laidley, daughter of Mrs. Jenkins Laidley of 28 Juniper Road, Westport, to Paul Douglas Lew, took place Saturday, June 10 at the Saugatuck Congregational Church. The Rev. Theodore G. Hoskins performed the ceremony.The bride, given in marriage by a family friend, C.W. Chamberlin of Westport, wore an old-fashioned gown of white Swiss lace with high neck and leg-o’mutton sleeves. Her headpiece matched the dress and crowned a face veil and long train. She carried an old-fashioned bouquet of lily of the valley, ste-phanotis, and bridal pink roses.She was attended by Leslie Burrows of Westport as maid of honor, Ellen Laidley, sister of the bride and Rose Lew, sister of the groom. The attendants wore old fashioned pink and white cotton dresses and large white hats with hot pink streamers.David Niver of Valley Stream was best man. The bridegroom’s other attendants were Jack Giordano of Old Forge, Pa., and Dick McAdams of Cheltenham, Pa.The bride ~a graduate of Staples High School, attended Colby Jr. College and received her BA from Franklin and Marshall College in 1971. She did graduate work at American University and is presently employed at the National Archives in Washington, D.C.Mr. Lew, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Lew of Valley Stream, Long Island, was graduated from Valley Stream South High School and received a BA from Franklin and Marshall College in 1971.
