Acapulco Wedding Trip For PrattsAfter a wedding trip to Acapulco and other parts of Mexico, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Thomas Pratt Jr. will return on July 17 to Kingsport where they’ll make their home.The couple were married at fi p.m., July 3, in a ceremony performed by Dr. William J. IHirdue at the First Baptist Church.The bride is the former Miss Helen Christine Barger daughter of Carolyn I. Barger of Kingsport, and Fred Barger Jr. of 2553 Ft. Henry Drive. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Thomas Prat I Sr. of 1809 Stratford Road.VOWS WERE exchanged in the. sanctuary which was decorated with an arch of 15 lighted tapers flanked by two seven-branched, two spiral and a pyramid candelabra. Grecian urns filled with pink flowers stood before a background of greenery and a sunburst of pink flowers were arranged beneath the arched candelabra. Nosegays of white chrysanthemums and ptnk streamers marked the family pews, and each window helil lighted tapers ami greenery.Miss Connie Rogers, soloist, and Mrs. Gregory Smith, organist, presented a program of wedding music. The wedding was under the direction of Mrs. Bernice Cook. Mrs. Avalcen l-edfoi'd was in charge ol the reception.THE BRIDE, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor-lengUr gown of silk organ mi and re-embroidered Alcncon lace over angel mist taffeta. The fitted bodice featured a Victorian neckline and lung sheer sleeves trimmed in lace appliques and ending at the wrist in a double-flounced ruffle.The A-line skirl extended from a highrise waistline and l»asled a deep hemline of matching scalloped lace. Thu back was styled with a tubular Watteau chappel-length train which was bordered and :ip-phqued with lace medallions in a flower motif.Her full-length mantilla af silk illusion was edged in rc-embnmlcred lace medallions. SJtc carried a colonial bouquet of baby's breath and mixed roses with matching loops and streamers of pink, peach, yellow arid candle! iglil sal in.She wore a pair of diamond earrings, a gift of her mother.MRS, EVERETT BOND, sister of the bridegroom, served as matron of honor. Maid of honor was Miss Diane (Dee Dee) Garrett. Bridesmaids were Miss Tana Olsson, Miss .Susie Bartholomew, Miss Cindy Carrier, cousin of the bride, and Miss Susan Johnson, cousin of the bridegroom.The attendants wore floor-ienglh go was of pink, green and apricot printed voile over ivory taffeta. The fitted bodices featured puffed sleeves and necklines edged in ivory lace. The modified gathered skirts were marked with greenvelvet ribbon at the high rise waistlines.THEY WORE green velvet ribbons as headdresses and carried colonial bouquets of pink carnations and miniature roses with candlelight streamers.Cousin of the bride, Miss Jan Thomas, served as flower girl, and Andy Bond, nephew of the bridegroom, was ringbearer.Frank T. Pratt Sr. was his son’s best man.
