Bruce Woods at the Shiro Baptist Church in Shiro. Candelabras entwined with English ivy holding white tapers and large baskets of white mums decoratedthe altar.Mrs. T. J. Slaton provided the traditional wedding music and accompanied Mrs. W M. Carrell, the bride's sister-in-law, in singing “The Story of Ruth* and the “Wedding Prayer.*Given in marriage by her brother, Cornell Carrell, the bride wore a formal gown of white peau de soie. The bodice,sleeves and chapel-length train were of Aleneon lace. Her shoulder-length veil fell from a pearl tiara. Bridesmaids were Gloria Schaffer, sister of the groom; Kathy Schroeder, Linda Schaffer, Marshalyn Kay Carrell, junior bridesmaid; and Tina Bogan as flower girl.The attendants wore A-line yellow organza over peau de soie dresses, white gloves, yellow tulle veils. They each carried a single yellow rosebud.Raymond Sechelski served as best man. She wore an orchid corsage.Following the ceremony a reception was held m the church fellowship hall. Two hundred guests attended the reception.A three-tiered white wedding cake with yellow flowers adorned the bride’s table. The cakewas made bv Mrs. Bruce Woods.The bride’s bouquet served as e centerpiece for the table. Punch was served from a crystal punch bowl.Chocolate cake with the names of the bride and groom inscribed on top was served with coffee from the groom’stable.Assisting at the reception were Mrs. Lloyd Lehew, sister of the bride, and Misses Lucille Busa, Mary Katkoski, Judy Wickey, Dana Overby, Kathie Beeler and Marlene Leiber.After a short wedding trip, the couple will live in Anderson.R, P.
