Dahnke of Iowa City, and Ronald Lee Hobbs, son of Mrs. Vernon Hobbs of Columbus Junction, and the late Mr. Hobbs, was an event of Friday, July 9, at 8 p.m. in the First Methodist Church in Iowra City with the Rev. E.H. Hancock officiating.The bride was attended by Nancy Yedlik, Joyce Kobes and Betty Ann Dahnke, all of Iowa City. They wore sleeve less street - length dresses of light».t.5-1-itblue with bell-shaped skirts. They carried white mums on blue netting.The bride, given in marriage by her father, was attired in a floor * length silk organza gowm with Chantilly lace trim. It featured a scalloped neckline with seed pearls and sequins, long sleeves and bouffant skirt with chapel train. A headpiece of pearls and crystal held the veil. She carried a cascade of white roses, stephanotis and ivy centered with three white orchids.Paul Kerr of Columbus Junction was the best man. Seating the guests were Gary Kobes and Patrick Griffin, both of Iowa City.The groomsmen were Robert Dahnke, the bride’s brother, of Iowa Citv, and Floyd Holliday of Columbus Junction.Virginia Ann Deatsch of Oxford was the flower girl and Mike Mills, of Morning Sun, nephew of the bridegroom, was the ringbearer.ReceptionA reception was held after the ceremony in Friendship Hall of the church. Seasonal flowers decorated the rooms.Hostesses were Mrs. John Mickey of Columbus Junction, sister of the bridegroom, Mrs. Lyle Wasson of Columbus Junction, Mrs. Russell Yedlik of Iowa City and Donna Fuhrmeis-ter of West Branch.The bride is a 1965 graduate of Iowa City High School and has been working at Slager Appliance at Iowa City.The bridegroom, a 1963 graduate of Columbus Community High School, is with Rath Packing Company at Columbus Junction. The couple will live at Columbus Junction.
