McCaughey, of Galesburg, became the bride of James Ingels, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gaar In gels, of LaFayette, in a ceremony solemnized Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock in the chapel of Galesburg First Methodist church. Dr. Jual R. Ford read the service in the presence of about 90 guests.Candelabra and tall vases of pink and white gladioli were arranged on either side of the altar and there was an arrangement of pink and white gladioli and baby’s breath above the altar.Preceding the ceremony, Miss Grace Hoadley, of LaFayette, presented nuptial music and was accompanist for James Banse, of Cambridge, who sang “I Love Thee” and “The Lord’s Prayer.”The bride was attired in a dusty pink linen and lace afternoon gown and wore a small white hat. She carried a bouquet of white roses.Matron of honor was Mrs. John McCaughey, cousin of the bride, who wore a navy blue nylon gown and carried a nosegay of pink and white roses.Best man was Austin Ingels, of Schuyler, Nebraska, brother of the groom, and ushers were John McCaughey, of Centerville, Iowa, brother of the bride, and Donald Austin, of Chicago, cousin of the groom.Following the wedding a reception was held in the church parlors. A three-tier wedding cake was surrounded by a garland of pink and white gladioli blossoms and greenery.Miss Joyce Ebert, cousin of the bride and Mrs. Paul Ladd and Mrs. Alan Deakin, also cousins of the bride, were in charge of the guest book.Mrs. Ingels graduated from Galesburg high school and from Western Illinois State college, Macomb, where she was affiliated with Kappa Sigma sorority. During the past two years she taught in LaFayette high school.Mr. Ingels graduated from LaFayette high school and from the University of Illinois, where he was a member of Theta Chi fraternity. He is proprietor of the greenhouse at the Home Nursery in LaFayette.After July 20 the couple will reside on East Main street.•The wedding was attended by guests from Ipava, Cuba, Abingdon, Industry, Riverside, Rock Island, Sterling, Henry, Thomson, Geneseo, Decatur, Galva, Cambridge, LaFayette and Galesburg, as well as Centerville, Iowa.Among those who attended the wedding from LaFayette were Mr. and Mrs. Gaar In gels, Mi*, and Mrs. James Ingels, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Rhudie, Mrs. Jean Kay, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph DeVries and Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Jones, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs, Jess Osterberg, of Riverside, and Corliss Ingels, of Henry.WSCS GROUPS MEETGroup 1 of W. S. C. S. met Thursday afternoon with Mrs. Louise Har-land when 13 members, one guest and four children were present. Mrs, Myrtle Gibbs and Mrs. Lolabell Taylor were co-hostesses. Mrs. Tailor had charge of the program. During the business meeting Mrs. Ida Titlow was chosen chairman and Mrs. Jerry Gerard vice chairman. Reports of committees were given and refreshments were served.Group 2 met Thursday evening with Mrs. Anna Ruth Craig and she and Mrs. Ora Goff were co-hostesses. Mrs. Frances Tilson led devotions. Routine business was conducted and refreshments were served.Group 3 met Thursday afternoon with Mrs. Ann Pittard when 13 members were present. Mrs. Veta Henderson presided. Mrs. Pittard was devotional leader. Usual business was conducted and refreshments were served.METHODIST CHURCH O. R.
