Mrs. Jason HoustonHouston, CarterJennifer Lane Carter and Jason Andrew Houston, both of Jacksonville, were united in marriage on July 8,2006, at Trinity7 United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dennis Goodwin performed the 1 p.m. ceremony. The wedding and reception were directed by Ann Kunkel. Music was provided by organist, Nelle Boyce; and vocalists, Bill Howard and Claire Zawistawski.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael S. Carter of Jacksonville. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Dorothy Lane of Jacksonville and the late Mr. Lester Lane and Mrs. Janie Carter of Jacksonville and the late Mr. John Carter Jr.The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Billy J. Houston of Jacksonville. He is the grandson of Mr. Walter Houston of Richlands and the late Acra Houston and the late Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Tyndall.The rehearsal dinner was held at Tar Landing Baptist Church.The bride w as attended by maid of honor Jessica Humphrey of Jacksonville. Bridesmaids were Tabithia Parker and Katherine Carter, both of Wilmington; and Amanda Houser of Jacksonville. Flower girl was Austiona Prevatte.The groom chose Floyd Nealy Jr. of Jacksonville as his best man. Groomsmen were Bry an Butler of Jacksonville; Garey Lancaster of Goldsboro; and Neil Robins of Raleigh. Usher was Richard Carter. Ring bearer was DylanPrevatte.Program attendants were Sarah Poole and Sara Liquori.The w7edding reception was also held at Trinity United Methodist Church.The bride graduated from Jacksonville High School and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She is an elementary7 school teacher with Onslow County7 Schools.The groom graduated from Southwest High School and North Carolina State University. He is a civil engineer with Parker and Associates.The couple took a honeymoon trip to Key Iargo, Fla.They reside in Jacksonville.
