TWO POPULAR YOUNG PEOPLE ARE MARRIEDThe marriage of Charles Matthew Steates of IJtica and Miss Mary Leona Christman Lombar occurred yesterd-day at St. Peter’s Catholic church at 9 o’clock in the forenoon, Very Rev, George L. Murray officiating.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Prank Lombar, who reside on Dayan street near the nigh bridge, and is a most highly esteemed young woman, having hosts of friends who will extend unstinted congratulations.Mr. Steates is the son of Mr .and Mrs. Charles A. Steates, wire chief of the Black River Telephone Company, who reside on Campbell street in this place. The young man is one of the bright boys of the village, having learned the trade of printer here and is now holding a position on the Utica Daily Press. Mr. Steates is a steady and painstaking workman. His character is one which has won him respect in the community, resting on a foundation secure and stable, which will prove of great value to him in after life.Mr. and Mrs. Steates left here on a short trip after which they will make, their home temporarily with the bride’s parents, and will later take up their residence in the city of Utica. The Democrat unites with the friends in wishing the young newly-married couple a lifetime, offering a smooth page upon which pii lines will be scarce.
