,77“ * ’’ 1Vv*, _____Hurt^id a Runaway*The three-year-old daughter of Lee Howell who lives three miles Southwest of town was badly hurt in *rrunaway Sunday after-noon. Mr. Howell and family#were visiting near Brush * Hilland when preparing to starthome Mr. Howell after hitchingthe team to the wagon put thelittle girl into the wagon and lefther there while he stepped iotothe house for his wife. Thechild picked up a whip and struckthe horses causing them to runaway, and overturn the wagonand almost kill the little girl. Dr. Mo*»re was summoned and rendered all the assistance possible to relieve the sufferings of the child. One limb was broken near the hip and an ugly gashwas cut on her head. The wounds are very painful and considering the hot weather it will be a piece of good fortune if thelittle one recovers. The family have the sympathy of the entire community.
