;kmeMARRIAGES IN JCupid Ws Not Very Active in the Month of Brides*atWhile June is supposed to he the great month for brides, not as many licenses were issued in June 1908 as in some other months of the, year. According to the marriage register at the Clerk’s office, twenty-six licenses were issued to parties desiring to marry, which is an average of one every week day. The largest number of licenses issued in one day was 011 June 9 and 17, when three licenses were issued.Can it he that Dan Cupid .s oncoming active year by year. A glance at the marriage register shows that the little god of marriage was not busy during June, 1908, as in June 1907. in June, 1907, he captured thirty one couples in Manaska county, while this year he fell live short of tii number.The youngest couple to secure license during the month was Lou Hoy Cushalt, of Fremont, age eighteen years, and Thressa Cross, of Oska loosa, aged nineteen years.
