Sixty-two years ago yesterday Sylvan B. Morris, late father of Mr. S. B. Morris, of this city, as Clerk of Shelby county, issued a marriage license to Allen Sexton and Elizabeth Stafford, a widow, and sixty-two years ago to-day they were united in marriage. The marriage license was issued in the little frame building now occupied by \V. A. Powell as an office on West Frank-lin-st., and the late Dr. Milton Robins, who was then County Auditor, also occupied said room. Mr. Sexton, who. is visiting relatives here from Franklin, is in his 83d year and is enjoying fairly good health.
