TODAY'S BRIDE IN PITTSBURGH CEREMONY—Susan Edwards Mongell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank M. Mon-gell of 1217 McCormick Ave., South Connellsville, became the bride this morning of John Ward Triggs, son of Mr. and Mrs, J. Fred Triggs of 2600 Creekedge Drive, Churchill Borough, Pittsburgh.The marriage was solemnized at 11 a.m. in St John Fisher Church, Churchill Borough. The Rev. William Erkcns, host pastor, and the Rev. Edmund Cuneo, con-celebrant, officiated.The bride, escorted to the altar by her father, chose for her nuptials a floor-length gown of ivory duleett satin and Alencon lace. Long tapering sleeves and scalloped Sabrina neckline featured the high-rise lace bodice. A deep Alencon lace border marked the lower portion of the slim A-line skirt. A detachable circular train of matching satin, accented with Alencon lace, terminated in a chapel-length sweep. The bride’s headdress was a matching pillbox with lace trim, to which was attached a veil of silk illusion, the latter extending in a misty cloud beyond the train. She carried a cascade bouquet of gardenias, white roses, ivy sprays and salal leaves.College friends of the bride were her attendants. Miss Elaine Sovitski was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Ruth Ann Zekas, Miss Barbara Lentz and Mrs. Dana Grasha.They were attired in identical floor-Iength gowns of lime green, the empire* bodices of linen with square necklines and short sleeves. The lime inverted chiffon skirts, edged with matching linen, were worn over skimmer-line crepe underskirts. Their headdresses were lime hair bows with brief veils. Each carried a crescent bouquet 'of glamellias, miniature yellow roses and foliage.J. Fred Triggs Jr. served as his brother’s best man. Ushers were Robert Simmers, James Stewart, Frank A. Maloney III, cousin of the bridegroom, and David Mongell, brother of the bride.Approximately one hundred twenty-five guests are expected to attend the reception this afternoon at the Edge-wood Country Club, Churchill Borough.When the newlyweds return from a brief wedding trip through eastern Pennsylvania they will reside in the Embassy Apts., 230 Beverly Road, Mount Lebanon, Pittsburgh.The bride was graduated from Connellsville Joint Senior High School with Class of 1963 and from Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, in June of this year. She expects to teach in the fall at the Keystone Oaks School District, Pittsburgh.Mr. Triggs was graduated from Wilkinsburg High School with Class of 1963 and is now a student at the University of Pittsburgh. He is also employed in the research and development offices of Westinghouse Electric Corp., Pittsburgh.The rehearsal dinner on the eve of the wedding was hosted by parents of the bridegroom at the Edgewood Country Club.
