Episcopal Rector To Speak SundayBy Kay HughesReverend James Stirling, rector of the Episcopal Church, West Palm Beach, Fla., will speak at Protestant Community Services Sunday, July 12, at 8 p.m. ia Graves Centre Amphitheater. He is a former rector of the Auburn Episcopal Church.lt; On the following Sunday, Dr. Wallace Alston, president of Agnes Scott College, Decatur, Ga., will speak at the summer series.DR. ALSTON received his B.A. and M.A. degrees from Emory University. He attended Columbia Theological Seminary and earned his B.D. there. Dr. Alston also hold Th.M. and ThJ. degrees from Union Theological Seminary.He has held pastorates in Atlanta, Ga.; Lexington, Ky.; and Charleston, W. Va. At one time he* was director of youth work, serving in Richamo/id, Va.REVEREND STIRLING attended Hobart College and received his B.D. degree from VirginiaTheological Seminary. He served as a chaplain in the Navy aboard an aircraft carrier.Having been in college work for nine years, Rev. Stirling is considered an authority on the church on the campus. Before coming to. Auburn, he held pastorates in Chattanooga, Tenn.; Gainesville, Fla., and Nashville, Tenn.THE SERVICES will be held in Graves Center Amphitheater but in case of inclement weather, they will be moved to Langdon Hall, ftourly announcements of the change will be broadcast over WAUD.
