Cleveland church is settingMiss Carolyn Cranford, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Horace Cranford ofMontrose Avenue, and Lawrence Garrett were married at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, May 1 in the St. Peter's AME Zion Church in Cleveland, Ohio. The Rev. William Cunningham was the officiating minister.The bride is a graduate of Morgantown High School and was formerly employed with Human Resource Development here She attended the University of Cleveland and. at the time of her marriage, was employed with the Visiting Nurses Association in Cleveland.Mr. Garrett is the son of Mrs. Inez Smith of Cleveland where he was graduated from St. Edward’s Catholic School. He is employed with the Southern California Edison Co. of Los Angeles.The bride wore a formal gown of white organza over taffeta. The lacebodice featured a square neckline and full long sleeves which were cuffed in lace Lace daisy motifs enhanced thegown.A high cap of matching lace and seed pearls held her veil of illusion. She carried a bouquet of white carnations.Miss Donna Cranford of Morgantown, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Other attendants were Mrs. Robert Cranford of Cleveland, sister-in-law of the bride; Mrs. Prentess Winston of Morgantown, cousin of the bride, and Mrs .Jolita Marsh of Cleveland, sister of the bridegroom.The attendants wore gowns styledsimilarly to that of the bride in•#* ■organza in tones of pink, yellow and lime green. They wore matching organza caps and carried nosegays of blue and white bachelor's buttons and baby's breath.Joseph Garrette of Clevelandserved his brother as best man. Ushers were John Marsh, brother-in-law of the bridegroom. Calvin Smith and Vincent Smith.A reception following the ceremony was held in the VEW Hall in Maple Heights. Ohio.After a scenic tour across country, the couple is at home in Los Angeles.
