Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Kampe of Tinley Park, became the ■ bride of Virgil Bode, son of Mr.and Mrs. Oscar Seeman of Mat-, teson, at four on the afternoon * of June 27 The Rev. John W. '!Petersen officiated at the dou-f ble ring ceremony in St. Paul's l Evangelical Lutheran church, 5|Tinley Park, !f The Wedding Prayer” and » “The Lord’s Prayer” were sung ?! as a duet by Mr. and Mrs. Rich--lard Baumgartner !j The bride chose a gown of chantilly lace and nylon organ-1 za. The fitted bodice with brief f sleeves and sabrina neckline was of the lace. The chapel trained skirt had a wide insert s of lace encircling it. A pearl s trimmed lace cap held her ? shoulder length veil and she ? carried white roses. Her pearl necklace and earrings wer« a gift from the bridegroom.Sharon Kohl of Matteson was the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Ardith McCoy of Hazel Crest, and the bride s sis-i ter-in-law, Mrs Larry Kampe of Green Bay, Win. Their mintW’ Wgreen frocks of nylon organza j had full skirts and fitted jackets. All their accessories were in the same delicate green and ,they carried erescents of match-ing carnations.j Three and a half year oldLinda Bodie. attired In white with green hows, carried a basket of rose petals which sha strewed in the hride's path. She is a niece of the bridegroom. The bride s niece, six-year old Linda Kampe, lighted the candles She also wore whito with green bows and had a wriatcorsage of green carnations.Marvin Bode served his brother as best man. Arnold Kampe and the bridegroom's cousin, Orville Wolter, completed the lift of his attendants.A buffet supper was served that evening in the American Legion hall. Harvey. Tha newlywed couple then left on a wedding trip to Minnesota. When in Northfield they atop-ped on the campus of St. Olaf college to visit with Mrs. Bode aclassmates when she was a atu-dent at that Minnesota college.Mr. and Mrs. Vlrgtl Bode are now residing in Hazel Creat. She was graduated from Rich Township high school and after attending college enrolled in the medical technology elasa at Ingalls Memorial hospital where she is now employed as a medical technologist.Mr. Bode was graduated from Thornton Township high school and served two years in the United State* Army.
