The Rev. Peter Morgan performed the 8 P. Jii. candlelight ceremony Saturday, June 30 at the Marion Christian church where Cheryl Prances Hofer of Springfield, 111. became the bride of Stanley David Clark, also of Springfield. Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church parlors.The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Dora Hofer of Springfield, and John Ilofer, Fayette, la. and the bridegroom is the son of Mr, and Mrs. Donald Clark of Marion.A bouquet of pink and lavender mums surrounded by stephanotis was carried by the bride who was given in marriage by her father. The bride wore a gown of dotted swiss fashioned with an empire bodice and long cuffed sleeves. The scoop neckline was accented with a double ruffle. The skirt flared out with a ruffle encircling the hemline. The bride’s elbow-lengtli veil was caught to a dotted swiss bow.Miss Sue Rutt of Fayette, was maid of honor. Her long gown was accented with short puffy sleeves. At the hemline a wide ruffle was added. Its colors were assorted pinks, lavenders and yellows.A lavender garden hat accented with a lavender bow completed her ensemble. She carried a single long stemmed pink mum with a lavender bow.James Clark of Marion was his brother’s best man. Seating the guests were John Hofer of Cedar Rapids, brother of the bride, and Timothy Nelson of Marion, brother-in-law of the bride.Mrs. Hofer, mother of the bride, chose a pink chiffon dress with matching accessories for the ceremony.The newlyweds will make their home at Springfield where the groom is employed at Allis-Chalmers and the bride is completing her senior year at Springfield High School.
