NuptiaCeremonyRecentlyVows were solemnized in ( rown Heights United Methodist church in Oklahoma City for Miss Claudia Jane Warren and Paul Bradie Pipes at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 27.The church was decoratedwith a seven-branch cathedral candelabra, palms and baskets ol white gladioli and yellow daisies. The pews were marked with white bows.Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Warren Jr., Oklahoma City, and Mr. and Mrs. Bradie Pipes, 117 NorthJefferson, Commerce.The Kev. L. K. Shackelfordofficiated at the double ring ceremony.On tlie arm of her father the bride advanced to the altaralong a white aisle cloth. Thedress was of candlelight silk or gan/a over peau de soie with A-line skirt and fan-shaped chapel train. The bodice was ap-pliqued with a motif of peau d angc lace embroidered with clusters of seed pearls and de tailed with an Edwardian neckline and bishop sleeves.The bouffant illusion veil was attached to a Dior bow. The bride s bouquet featured orchids. stephanotis arid sw eetheart roses.Mrs. Forrest. Pearson was hersister’s matron ol honor. Bridesmaids w e r e Miss Candy Sexton, Norman, Mrs. Tom Brown, Midwest City, and Mrs. HeraldNewcomb, Oklahoma City.T h e bridesmaids w e r edressed in floor-iength dressesof flowered voile over blue along the Empire waistlines. Mrs. Pearson’s dress, sty led as the others, was in aqua chiffon. Each attendant s costume was complemented by a large picture hat surrounded by smallblue daisies. They carried smallbouquets of daisies mingled with stephanotis.Little Kristie Pearson and Leisa Warren, nieces of thebride, served as flower girls.They wore fluffy aqua bluedresses and carried baske ts of rose petals. Kim Warren, an other niece, lighted the candles.(’. I). Bennett, Warrensburg,Mo., erved as best man. Bus-nO.C.sell Jobe, Pryor, Kandail Smith, Chickasha, and I^arry Warren, Oklahoma City, served as groomsmen and ushers.For her daughter’s wedding Mrs. Warren chose an aqua chiffon dress with matching coat and accessories. Mrs. Pipes wore a sea green double knit suit with white accessories.Their corsages were of baby white roses.immediately following thewedding fin* couple* received their guests in the reception hall of the church. The bride s table, covered with white net overwhite satin, featured a three-tiered wedding cake decorated with blue flowers, wedding bells and topped w ith two white doves circling a small silver Christiancross.Mrs. Bussell Jobe. Pryor, rut the wedding cake and Mrs. Steve Warren presided over the silver punch fxwl. The' wereassisted bv the ladies of thewchurch.The riewlvweds will reside inwJackson. Miss., where thegroom is employed as a geologist for the Lone Star Producing Co. He was graduated trom Oklahoma State University inJanuary with two degrees, one in science and the other in gco-logy.The bride was graduated inMay from OS I’ with a Bachelor of Science degree in sociolog.Parents of the bridegroom. Mr. and Mrs. Bradie Pipes,were hosts at the rehearsal dinner in the Lincoln room at the Trade Winds, Oklahoma City.Choate Takes Oath As a MidshipmanRobert Lee Choate, 18. Welch Route I. was sworn in as a mid shipman at the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, Md.. last week. The son of Mr. arid Mrs. Norman Choate, Robert, graduate! from Welch high school in]%9. He attended OklahomaState University as an aerospace engineering major the past year where lie made the President’s and Dean s Honor Boll. He was also a member ofthe Flying Aggies.Bubert received nomination,to the academy from both U.S. Ed Edmondson and Sen llenrv Bellmon.
