Oriental Show At Playhouse When does a Army captain have a beautiful Geisha girl dumped in lap by Oriental leprechaun? When Mountain Playhouse does The Teahouse of the August Moon next week, July 8 through 12 in Jennerstown. The Army captain is named Fisby and is played by Playhouse favorite, Russell Gold. It is the job to instill democratic princi ples upon the natives of Tobiki village. Caught between the de mand of the Pentagon and de lightful Oriental customs, Fisby’s head is in a constant whirl. Some how, with a lot of luck sea soned by gusty humor, Fisby manages to bring the two worlds together. All his problems are solved but what to do with a Geisha girl? The Geisha girl is beautiful Lotus Blossom, played by Meriel Dooley. Sold into her profession by her parents, she has learned to be all that any man could desire. Her highest achievement is making life more pleasant for the male population. But all is on the up and up, for the role of the Geisha in Oriental society is a highly respectable one. Bringing this delightful story together is narrator, interpreter, Sakini, played by Don Draper. Saini is the Oriental imp with all of the charm of a leprechaun. His aura of native understanding endearing him to the hearts of all who meet him. Others in the cast are actor director Charles Crain, Richard Woods, Dolly Wheaton, Christian Kahn, Nancy Chesney, Mike Na hay, Kirby Alexander and Betsy Zimmerman, . Sister Rose presided at the org an for a recital of nuptial music and her numbers included “Ave Maria” and On This Day, O Beautiful Mother.” Given in marriage by her father the bride wore a gown of im ported Chantilly lace dusted with peuletts, fashioned with scoop, neckline, long sleeves tapered at the wrist and full skirt ending in a chapel train. Her fingertip veil of imported illusion was held in place by a crown of seed pearls and she carried a cascade of white lilies centered with white orchids. Stella Mazur, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. She appeared in a nylon eyelet dress of blue taffeta with matching fiendpiece and carried a cascade of pink ma jestic daisies. Julia Ann Lazarz, niece of the bride; Dolores Marek, Arlington, Va., and Janet Lazara, Uniontown were bridesmaids. Their gowns were of nylon eyelet over viola taffeta. They completed their en sembles with matching headpieces and carried cascades of yellow majestic daisies. Michael Siannaco served as Sgt. Williams’ best man. Ushering were William Williams, brother of the bridegroom, Leon Daniels and Joseph Sabath. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Mazur chose a blue crepe dress with blue accessories and corsage of pink rosebuds. Following the ceremony a lunch eon was held for members of the immediate families and bridal party at the Polish Hall, where a reception for 300 guests took place in the evening. When the couple left for a hon eymoon in Miami, Fla., the bride was wearing a pink and white dress, white accessories and cor sage of white orchids. The new Mrs. Williams gradu ated from Uniontown Senior High School and is employed by the Air Force Dept. at the Pentagon, Washington, D. C. Sgt. Williams graduated from Fairfax High School, Fairfax, Oklo. He has served with the U.S. Air Force for the past 7 years and is now stationed at the Pent agon, Washington, DC.
