Darlene Soucie Is Bride of Maurice RaefDARLENE SOUCIE IS BRIDE OF MAURICE RAEF.The wedding of Miss Darlene Soucie and Maurice Raef took place at 1:30 o’clock Saturday, June 30 at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Soucie, near St. Anne.The groom is the son of Mrs. Bertha Raef of Kankakee.The single ring ceremony was read by Rev. S. A. Woodruff. The room was very prettily decorated with baskets of gladiolus. Preceding the ceremony, I Love You Truly” and “ Because” and “Always”' were sung.The traditional wedding march was played as the bride entered the room on the arm of her father who gave her away in marriage.She wore a three-quarter length gown of net and lace over taffeta and carried a bouquet of pink roses and carnations. Her only jewelry was a string of pearls and matching earrings, gift of the groom.Miss Eleanor Soucie, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Her gown was aqua net with matching hat and mitts.The best man was Ervin Taylor of Kankakee.A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents.After a honeymoon in Northern Wisconsin the newlyweds will reside at 545 S. Schuyler Ave. in Kankakee. The groom is employed at Ducharme Heating Co. and the bride is employed at Amberg File and Index Co.
