The marriage of Mr. A. R. Batie to Miss Jessie Faff took place Wednesday at the residence of the brides father J. Faff of McKinney, Ward county. The wedding which took place at noon, was a quite hut pleasant one, only relatives being present, Rev. J. C. Cook, pastor of the M. E. Church at Tolley, performed the marriage cermonv. The contracting parties are well known in Omemee. The bride has been a very successful teacher in the village schools and is popuar in both educational and social circles. The groom is cashier of the First National Bank and has a well earned reputation as a public spirited citizen and h man of strict business integrity. The happy couple returned yesterday and have commenced housekeeping in the residence recently purchased by the groom from Duncan Stewart.
