Kesselring of Parnell and Donald R, Sleekly, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rollin Steckly of Wellman, were ■married Saturday, June 29 in the ' First Mennonite church in Iowa City. Rev.i ’Joseph Hertzler per--formed' the: double ring ceremony •at 7 p.m..The wedding music was provided by Dottie1 KinsSnger, organist and singers: Ken.on, Kenny and Larry Miller, Art Swartzendruber and John Bontrager. Songs were. The: Lord’s Prayer” and O Perfect. Love.”Candefabras and two. baskets of orange tipped mums decorated the-church.The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length gown of Karate linen, featuring a ■fit^d A” line style with a scoop neckline and above me eloiK. sleeves accented with Venice lace insets. The removable train was bordered with Venice lace 'and fell from the shoulder to a chapel train: A halo of Venice lace daisies accented with crystals and pearls held her bouffant elbow lengih veil of illusion. She carried a bouquet i of stephanotis. . IBarb Kinsingcr of Parnell was mat dot honor and the bridesmaids were Donna Steckly of Wellman. Wendy Hess of Parnell, OheryJ I Campbell of Oxford-and Mary Sue Vesely of Williamsburg. They wore floor length skimmer gowns of apricot Karate with A-line skirts, scoop nekline and split sleeves and a detachable .panel in the back with a row of matching lace. Hats of petals outlined with pearls held j their fly away veils. Their flowers: were circles of yellow aiid white j carnations with greens and long1 green streamers. ITerry Steckly of Longmont. Colo., served as best man. The* groomsmen were Larry Steckly ofj Longmont, Coio.. Red Steckly ollt; Wellman and Ron Kesselring of To wand a. Pa., and ushers were Ken Kesselring of Iowa City, John* Vesely of Williamsburg, Dalej Campbell of Oxford, Dale Roth and l Don Rrenneman of Wellman,For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. | Kesselring chose a pink sheath' with lace coat with white accesso-, ries and her corsage was pink cym- j indium orchids. Mrs. Steckly wore « beige knit ■suit witlh matching ac- J cessories and had a corsage of dark green cymbidium orridds, |The reception was held in the church basement following the' ceremony. The bride’s aunts were1 hostesses and they WereMesdahies Edward Vesely jr. of iWifliam^urg, | Roland Campbell of Oxford, Eldon Kesselring and H. R. Mbrgah of Iowa City. ' fThe bride is a graduate of the Williamsburg Community schools and attended Area 10 community college and was employed at Hawk-eye State bank in Iowa City. Mr. Steckly attended the Iowa Menno-nite school and is engaged in farming. Mr. Me zner received a Masters degree in Hospital Administration from the University of Minnesota. He is employed by the Hospital Consulting firm of Hamilton Associates, ;The wedding is being -planned for Oct. 5.-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Vesely of Santa Ana, Calif., and a brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ron Kesselring and Tim of Towanda, Pa.The Robert Coulters and Guests Attend Ground-breakingDr. and Mrs. A. H. Kuowles of De$ Mc-ines spent the weekend in the home of their son. the Robert Coulters. On Sunday the two couples motored Co Decorah to the home of Mrs. Knowles’ brother, Mr. and Mrs, R. W. Raster.They all attended the ground breaking ceremonies jin Decorah of the new Mathilda Barthell Order of Eastern Star re irement home.Mr. Coulter is -a member of the Eastern Star . committee responsible for planning the home; Several festivities in connection with -the formal ground breaking eere-j monies -were -attended by the Counters, .. V. * . * *To Attend Pioneer Camp At Loclaidge July 8-13Rev. J. M. Steffenson, Patty Clay-pool, JoAnn Collingwood, Debbie Mertary and Carol Golden will leave Sunday for the Methodist Golden Va-lley camp at Lockridge, Also going will be Mrs, Doris Rem-bold -as a counselor and Joyce Lortz as a nurse, with Rev. Steffenson as director. The camp will last a week. It is limited to 12 girls and 12 boys. ■
