Her marriage had been expected very soon, but she managed to elude both friends and relatives.Mr. Morgan R. Cornwall, of Spencer, had been visiting her in Denison last week and on Tuesday, June 12, they went together to Iowa City, supposedly to attend the commencement exercises there, where both had attended college. Word was later received here that they had been married there that day,* at St. Patrick’s church, Rev. Fr. Shanahan officiating. A simple wedding was observed, with Miss Arena Waters, of Iowa City, as bridesmaid and Mr. Robert Odle, of Spencer, as groomsman. The happy young couple visited at Iowa City a couple of days and . then' departed at once for Spencer, where they are now making their home, and have the best wishes of all.The bride is very well known in Denison and the county. She is an accomplished daughter of Mrs. P. E. C. Lally, of Denison, and has been the past two years a successful teacher in the Denison schools. She is accom-plished and enjoys %a very extensive friendship circle. The groom has visited here often and has gained many friends here. He recently entered the law practice in the office of his father at Spencer, having a year ago graduated in the law course at Iowa university.
