PAHLKE-EDMUNDSAt 8:30 Saturday evening, June 27, one of the prettiest weddings of the season took place at St. Paul’s Evangelistic and Reformed church, when Betty Pahlke, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. JuliusPahlke, was married to Howard Edmunds, son of Mr. and Mrs.Walter Edmunds, of this city.The bride was given in marriage by her father.She was attended by Lois Brockman, as maid of honor and the bridesmaids were Edna Mae!Pahlke. Gertrude Edmunds and LaVergne Vclp.The groom was attended by his brother Bob Edmunds and the ushers were William Witt, Heintz Gratz and Bob Hughes.The hride was dressed in a lovely gown of white satin with train and wore a finger tip veil held in place with a cluster of stephanotis to match her beautiful bouquet of stephanotis and white tulle.Her maid of honor wore pale pink starched chiffon trimmed with velvet bows of like color and carried a colonial bouquet of pale colors, trimmed with blue loops and streamers.The three bridesmaids, dressed; alike in pale blue starched chiffon, carried colonial bouquets alike, with pink streamers.The bride and all her attendants made a very lovely picture— as they entered the church.The groom and his attendants ! wore white serge coats and black i trousers.Richard Lute.v sang. “Ah, Swlt; Mystery of Life” and “The Lord's Prayer.” Mary Ann Knirsch presided at the organ.The church was tastely but simply decorated with bouquets of white flowers, ferns and two large candelabra. Rev, W. W. Wilke performed the service, after which the guests retired to the auditorium where a reception was held.The bride and groom received many beautiful and useful gifts j which they will put to use in their new home at 61st and Wood-lawn ave., Chicago, on their return from their honeymoon at Devil's Lake, Wis,Many out-of-town friends andrelatives attended the W'edding.
