She was stricken with heart trouble in an acute form last month and had never rallied from the attack sufficiently to be out of the house. Her illness grew worse Sunday and since that time very little hope for her recovery was held by those closest in attendance and by the physicians, who were called in consultation on the case.Mrs. Mitchell was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Mitchell, representatives of two of the oldest and most respected families in the county. She was born on the Mitchell»plantation April 7th, 1858, where she lived until her marriage to Mr. Thomas C. Mitchell, February 3rd, 1884. since which time she has lived in the beautiful Mitchell home in this city.Surviving her are two sons, Messrs. Frank and Joseph Mitchell, both ofthis city; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph Blackshear and Mrs. John Chisholm of Valdosta; and five brothers, Messrs. Hal and Jim Mitchell of thisscounty, Tom Mitchei? oi Atlanta, John Mitchell of Salt Lake City, and Taylor H. Mitchell of Thomasville.The funeral services will take place Saturday afternoon at 5 o’clock from the residence, and will be conductedby Rev. J. E. Seals.
