Sox and Miss Adeline Gift were quietly married by Rev. E. Lee Fleck in the presence of a small company of mutual friends. The ceremony took place at the home ot Joseph M. Martin a neighbor and was entirely informal. After the couple had been declared married by the clergyman and those present had extended the congratulations usual tinder such circumstances, all adjourned to the dining room where a dainty supper was served.The party broke up at 10 o'clock and Mr, and Mrs. Sox went to their home at 8UlJ Second nVenue which is just across the street from the Martin residence.Mr. Sox is a well known and highly respected retired farmer who has a host of friends. His bride is a native of Pennsylvania, but has resided here for several-years an d~m ade-m any—fri end s^s who will extend most hearty congratu-ltions.This wedding created considerable mild neighborhood excitement yesterday as the principals rather concealed the fact. It became generally ^known late in the day however**, and in the evening a company of their friends made*the bride^and groom an informal call and rendered^ tin'pan serenade in tho-front-yard. This, howevery-was uneffective and’they did not succeed in seeing the bride or groom, or even any recognition They finally gave up«-flowing to the fact that a noighbor waswill and the noise was disturbing. It is said however, that some of Mr. Sox’s frienda determined to repeat the concert and that as the obstacle I b to noise is now removed another eventiiwill take place this evening that will stand in the same relation to that of last evening as a Beige gun does to a chineee firecracker. A prominent citizen of the neighborhood is said to have offered five dollars reward for any noise making*apphance which will not be present in^the orchestra.
