She will be teaching at Gertrude Walker Elementary School in Garden City this fall.The groom is a graduate of Holcomb High School and earned his degree in agronomy at K-State. He is farming at Holcomb, where the couple are living.Valentine- ReistSkyla Valentine, Garden City, and Earl Reist, Ingalls, exchanged their wedding vows and rings in a ceremony Saturday, June 6, at United Methodist Church. The Rev. Max Clayton performed the rites at 7 p. m.Parents of the bride are LeRoy Valentine, Woodward, Okla., and Marsha Valentine, Garden City. The groom is the son of Mr and Mrs Ed Reist, Ingalls.Mrs. Lawrence Joyce, Garden City, was organist. She accompanied Lorna Andrews, Pierceville, who sang ‘‘Wedding Song,” “Evergreen.” and “I Pledge My Love.”The bride was given in marriage by her father. Jeryl Valentine attended her sister as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Paula Fillmore, Sheryl Winn, and Natalie Layton.Mike Reist, brother of the groom, served as best man Chris Steimel, Dave Wehkamp, and Bruce Renick were groomsmenValerie Ververka acted as flower girl and Tony Herman, as ringbearer.Wray Valentine, Brent Steimel, Duane Walker, and Brent Gerber served as ushers.LeRoy Valentine was host to the reception at Moose Lodge Assisting were Ivy Habiger, Brenda and Linda Walker, Pam Boyce, Jeannie Benton, Beckv Hale. The groom is a graduate of Ingalls High School and GCCC, and is self-employed.After a wedding trip to Estes Park, Colo., they are at home in Cimarron.Taylor-KinslowDelana L. Taylor and Philip Kinslow exchanged wedding vows in a 7 p. m. ceremony at Assembly of God Church in Ulysses. They were wed May 30.Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Taylor, Ulysses, and Mrs. Minnie L. Kinslow, Garden City.The bride was given in marriage by her father. Patricia Miller, Ulysses, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Rhonda Prather and Penney Langley, Ulysses. Jennifer Walter, Garden City, attended as miniature bridesmaid and Kimberly Walter, Garden City, as flower girl.George Kinslow, Converse, Texas, served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were John Miller, Ulysses, and Jerry Waite*, Garden City. Ringbearer was George Kinslow II, Converse, Texas.Serving as ushers were Carl Stinemetze and Tim Taylor, brother of the bride, both of Ulysses Janet Shorter, Ulysses, was organist. The families of the bride and groom gave the reception at the Frontier Room, Ulysses.Laura Walter, sister of the groom attended the guest book and assisted with the reception. Also assisting was Marta Kinslow.The bride is a graduate of Ulysses High School and the groom graduated from LaPuente High School in LaPuente, Calif.
