Double Wedding RitesIn Mennonite ChurchA double wedding was performed at 2 p.m. on June 10 at the Freeport Men-nonite Church uniting in marriage Miss Donna Mae Harnish to James Richard Kerr and Miss Linda Kay Fritsch to Michael John Harnish.The Rev. Lyle Babcock performed both double-ring ceremonies.Parents of Mr. and Mrs. Kerr are Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lillge Sr., Freeport Route 4, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kerr, 922 S. Chicago Ave. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar F. Fritsch of rural Monroe, Wis„ are parents of Miss Fritsch. Her husband is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lillge.Two pedestals of yellow gladioli and lavender carnations decorated the altar of the church.MMrs, James Hagen was organist andMiss Debbie Steele was soloist.The new Mrs. Kerr wore an organza gowri fashioned with Bishop sleeves, stand-up collar and Venise lace trim on the bodice. Schiffli embroidery enhanced the attached bridal train. A Ve« nise lace face-framing headpiece secured her bouffant illusion veil. She carried a cascade of lavender roses, white mums and pompons.Miss Cathy Graff of rural Freeport was the maid of honor. Bridesmaid was Miss Judee Currien of Freeport. Both attendants wore lavender A-line gowns of flocked voile with Empire bodices and French puffed sleeves and-scooped necklines. They carried two single lavender roses tied with ivy and matching ribbon.Lisa Wise was flower girl.Donald Kerr performed the duties of best man. David Steele of Red Oak was groomsman, and Mike Mathews was an usher. Ringbearer was Billy Kerr.The bride is a 1972 graduate of Freeport High School. Her husband was graduated from Freeport High School in 1970 and is employed by the Kelly-Springfjeld Tire Co,Following a wedding trip to the Wisconsin Dells, Mr. and Mrs. Kerr are making their home at Freeport Route 4.The new Mrs. Harnish chose an Empire A-line gown of flocked sheer nylon, fashioned with a Venise lace yoke and ruffles enhancing the neckline, Bishop sleeves and full semi-full skirt which extended into a chapel-length train.She had a Cameiot headpiece, trimmed in daisy lace, which securedan illusion veil. She carried a cascade%bouquet of yellow Sweetheart roses and babies’-breath.Mrs. Diane DeSpain of rural Ridott was matron of honor. Bridesmaid was Miss Kathy Ernsen of Monroe, Wis.Both attendants wore yellow flocked voile Empire A-line gowns fashioned with scooped necklines and French puffed sleeves. They carried two single yellow roses tied with ivy and yellow streamers.Leslie Pfile of rural Freeport was flower girl.Lamoine DeSpain served as best man. Seating guests was Allen Fran-sen. Jammie Pfile of Freeport was ringbearer.A reception for both couples followed at the Veteran of Foreign Wars Hall. Bouquets of yellow gladioli and lavender carnations were used as decorations.The new Mrs. Harnish is a 1972 graduate of Monroe High School in Wisconsin, Her husband was graduated in 1966 from Freeport High School and is employed by Micro Switch where he was awarded scholarship in a tool and die program.Following a camping wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Harnish are maing their home in rural Ridott.
